A Private Equestrian Estate for Events

The Ideal Venue for an Unforgettable Wedding

An Elegant Venue for Your Special Events

Our Unique Spaces

The Gathering Room

Paneled in warm oak from floor to ceiling, the Gathering Room exemplifies a classic, timeless feel—one that we try to provide throughout the estate. This space is ideal for an intimate dinner, cocktail hour, or a ballroom for larger events.

The Pavilion

This is not the average picnic-type shelter. It is finished with a tongue and groove ceiling, three stunning chandeliers, and a handcrafted masonry fireplace. The Pavilion is a fantastic space for guests to enjoy dinner in a luxurious atmosphere.

The Stable

In addition to being the home to our elegant Fresian horses, our European-inspired stable is a unique space for cocktail hour. The red brick, bluestone, and iron featured throughout the estate are showcased here wonderfully. When our beautiful horses are not in their stalls, the vaulted ceiling painted with a majestic Pegasus flying in the sky is the focal point of our stable. This location is the perfect place to hold an unconventional ceremony. You cannot ask for a more beautiful “Plan B” in case of inclement weather.

The Ceremony Lawn

Nestled behind the main house, the Ceremony Lawn is spacious enough to host even the largest of bridal parties. Surrounded by tumbled brick walls covered in lush ivy, it is a place unlike any other in the area.

The Guest Cottage

Located a few feet from the Ceremony Lawn is the Guest Cottage—affectionately nicknamed the “Hen House.” Decorated in soft, pleasing colors, this is the perfect space for the bride and her entourage to dress, to have their and makeup done, and capture some pre-wedding photos.

The Lounge

At most venues, the groom and his men are often not given much space, if any, to prepare themselves before the ceremony. Above the Stable and far removed from the “Hen House” is the Lounge. Here, the gentlemen are provided with comfortable seating and a widescreen television. It is their private space for the afternoon.

About Us

Dr. Tony Johnson and his wife, Lillian, both grew up in the state of Kentucky. Having a passion for horses, it was their dream to, one day, own a horse farm. When they moved to the Mooresville area, they purchased property on Brawley School Road and set about making that dream come true.

In addition to planning a farm that would suit their family's goals, Lillian also recognized the need for a unique event venue in the Lake Norman area and decided to make the stable a facility with multiple purposes.
